The beautiful view of the surrounding area is a reward for the challenging climb to Sulov Castle. The Castle, with its rich history, is the oldest building in the area of the village. The condition of the ruin does not contribute to the idea that people once lived there. The Castle is usually called “swallow’s nest”. Nowadays, lizards appreciate the remains of the Castle. The common wall lizard (Lacetra muralis) deftly moves over rocks and castle walls. There are more reptiles in this area, for example: the sand lizard (Lacetra agilis) and deaf adder, also called slowworm (Anguis fragilis).
Visitors should pay attention to safety in this area because narrow sidewalks and weathered rocks increase the risk of an injury.
